September Rain is a Contemporary Christian Band.  Beginning in 2000, Lori Jo, Daughter Cassady and friend Lori Coronato formed the singing trio performing Contemporary Gospel music in and around the New England area.  Joined by Kemp Schanlaber, Scott Ryder and Lee Baker in July 2007, they continue to spread the Gospel through music and testimony.  Lori and Cassady are presently taking on other pursuits.

September Rain has completed work on a new recording project and is available now at live events or by contacting Lori Jo.

Lori Jo Gardner

Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin

Lori Jo Gardner has been singing and performing gospel and contemporary Christian music since 1966 starting at the age of 6 singing melodies for the Genco Family.  Lori Jo has hundreds of concerts and performances to her credit as well as many recording credits including a solo CD entitled “Pierce My Ear”.  Lori Jo lives in Littleton, New Hampshire with her husband Glenn and their three children

Scott Ryder

Scott Ryder has been involved in music of one sort or another his whole life. A Music Major in college, Scott has been member of many different ensembles, bands, and choirs as well as playing at weddings and special events. He, his wife Deb and his two daughters, Alyson and Lindsey live in Lancaster, NH

Lee Baker

Lead Guitar, Vocals

“I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t singing with my father, Carl Baker (aka Country Carl).”  A 35+ year guitarist, he has worked with countless groups all over the US and in 6 different countries.  A New Hampshire native, Lee spent 20 years in the U.S. Air Force before returning to his hometown of Whitefield with his wife Peggy and daughters Olivia and Emilee.

Kemp Schanlaber

Drums

Kemp Schanlaber lives in Northern New Hampshire with his wife Jackie, and three kids Kelsie, Jessica, and Kevin.  He is a podiatrist by day but looks very much forward to playing drums in the band and just being part of a musical out-reach.  "I am so thankful to have the opportunity to be a part of such a fun, talented group of people, and for the opportunity to be used in a musical ministry."

Glenn Gardner

By day, a mild mannered financial planning consultant; Glenn Gardner is a valued member of September Rain.  As a Sound Man, a Roadie or especially as an encourager, his presence is felt in every song.  “He is truly the MVP.”
